David Philipson, Esq.
The Law Office of David Philipson consists of three talented and hard working attorneys with one of-counsel, that will fight for you.
David Philipson started practicing law in Los Angeles in 1974 working for a prominent criminal defense lawyer. For those two years he handled hundreds of criminal cases and over 30 murders. He started his own practice in 1975. At first it was a criminal defense, but gradually evolved into all kinds of trial work: personal injury, workers compensation, unlawful detainer, real estate and easement litigation, etc.
After 23 years in Los Angeles the rat race became too much of a burden. He moved to Big Bear in 1996 and formed a partnership with William Erdmier in 1998. That partnership lasted until 2011 when they decided to go their own ways. Since then, David Philipson has been practicing on his own handling a variety of cases: criminal defense, personal injury, unlawful detainer, real estate and easement litigation, bankruptcy*, probate, etc. He has also added estate planning to his practice writing wills, trusts and other estate plans.
David Philipson is available to handle most any kind of case that may arise in Big Bear.
Joseph D. Holmes is an Associate Attorney with the Law Office of David Philipson. He has worked extensively in civil litigation, real estate and contract law. Before moving to Big Bear, Joe practiced law with two Orange County law firms, handling a variety of cases including: municipal and zoning law, probate, insurance subrogation and personal injury.
Joe earned his J.D. in 2009 from the UCLA School of Law, his Masters in Urban Planning from UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs, and his B.A., magna cum laude, in 2005 from UCLA, where he was Phi Beta Kappa. He is admitted to practice law in all California State Courts and in the Southern and Central Federal Districts of the State of California.
Brandon D.B. Howard is an Associate Attorney with the Law Office of David Philipson. He has worked extensively in civil litigation, employment, and contract law. Before moving to Big Bear, Brandon practiced law with the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, handling issues of discrimination in housing and employment.
Brandon earned his J.D. in 2013 from the University of California Davis School of Law. He has a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from the University of California Irvine where he graduated, magna cum laude, in 2009. He is admitted to practice law in all California State Courts and in the Central Federal District of the State of California.
Pantea Ilbeigi was an associate attorney with the Law Office of David Philipson from 2011 until July 2016, when she formed her own law firm. Given the number of clients handled by Ms. Ilbeigi, she remains available for most corporate, real estate, and business matters on an "of counsel" basis. Pantea also practices civil litigation, including obtaining and defending against civil harassment restraining orders, unlawful detainer lawsuits, and the practice’s federal bankruptcy litigation. She is also a big believer in mediation.
Pantea earned her J.D. in 2010 from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A., cum laude, in 2007 from New York University. She is admitted to practice law in all California State Courts and in the Central Federal District Court of the State of California.
